We are committed to minimizing our impact to, and enhancing the environment in which we work. Similar to our safety performance, 2012 was a top year in terms of our environmental performance. Reducing our emissions continues to be a focus and in 2012 we had reduce direct emissions 45 percent from 2005 levels. Conservation is a key priority for us, and the wise and effective use of natural resources is one of our five key environment, health and safety objectives. In 2012 we reduced our facility energy use, water consumption, and total waste produced. We also recycled 90 percent of our non-hazardous waste. The clean energy development in our competitive businesses is also helping to reduce our impact on our environment. We’re proud of the progress that we’ve made over the years and were recognized by a number of organizations for our strong environmental performance in 2012.
